A320 Incident Replay: Asymmetric Crew Training

Summary

The A320 Incident Replay is an interactive decision-support and training platform designed for high-pressure operational environments. Built on an AI-ready framework, it utilizes asymmetric information streams and timed cues to train aviation crews in systems thinking, human-factor awareness, and structured debriefing. Rather than focusing solely on procedural compliance, the tool emphasizes the quality of signal interpretation, real-time communication, and judgment under pressure to improve overall coordination.
This project demonstrates the design of an AI-ready decision-support and training concept for high-pressure operational environments, using asymmetric information, timed cues, and structured debriefing rather than a purely procedural aviation-training approach. It reflects strengths in systems thinking, information design, human-factor awareness, and the translation of complex events into interfaces that make coordination quality visible within seconds. Rather than claiming deep airline-domain authority, the project presents a credible transfer of research, AI, and design capability into an operational scenario where signal quality, communication, and judgment matter as much as technical correctness.

How to use

  1. Select a scenario from the library and review the briefing before starting.
  2. Enter the live exercise and follow the role-specific information stream as events unfold.
  3. Respond to each timed decision prompt when it appears.
  4. Review the debrief to examine competency scores, signal integrity, and the decision timeline.
  5. Focus on how coordination, timing, and information quality shaped the outcome.
