Aircraft Turnaround Control Assistant
Summary
The Aircraft Turnaround Control Assistant provides an explainable decision-support interface tailored for airline and airport operations teams monitoring single-aircraft turnarounds. Consolidating milestone statuses, bottleneck visibility, delay risks, and recovery guidance into a single executive dashboard, it enables rapid assessment of turnaround conditions like late inbound compression or boarding slowdowns. While utilizing mock operational data, the concept powerfully illustrates how critical-path awareness and recovery logic can be synthesized for internal, non-live operational management.
This concept demonstrates how an airline or airport operations team could monitor a single aircraft turnaround through an explainable decision-support interface. It brings together milestone status, bottleneck visibility, delay risk, and recovery guidance in one compact operational view.
Initializing operational data...
How to read this view
- Start with the executive band to confirm the flight context, estimated off-block time, current delay risk, and the most immediate operational bottleneck.
- Use the scenario selector to switch between common turnaround conditions such as normal operations, late inbound compression, fuel delay, or boarding slowdown.
- Read the operations board as the working milestone layer: task status shows what is complete, active, pending, or delayed, while the path column indicates whether a task is on the critical path.
- Use the right-side analysis panels to understand why the current state matters operationally and what recovery action is recommended.
Scope
This is a concept demonstrator built with mock operational data and public turnaround concepts. It is intended to show how milestone coordination, critical-path awareness, and recovery reasoning could be presented in an internal airline operations interface, rather than represent a live OCC, A-CDM, or airport system.
